This is the only way that his scattered sheep will be found and re-gathered as one flock: Jesus the Good Shepherd, the Substitute Sacrificial Lamb for our sins, would have to willingly lay down his life for us, his scattered sheep.

David’s response to his enemies is a prayer of imprecation. But what was Christ’s response to his enemies while he was dying on the cross? Did he pray for their destruction, like David prayed?

“Today You Will Be With Me in Paradise”
This is why God’s remembrance means divine blessing as he keeps his covenant promises to you. In joy and sorrow when we pray, God remembers his covenant with us. He remembers us from his throne in heaven, and he hears our prayers. And in the end, he will take us to God’s Paradise.

“Father, Forgive Them”
In most Good Friday sermons, it is often preached that in this first saying, Christ is modeling forgiveness among the brethren in the church. But is this what Christ meant when he prayed this first word while he hung on the cross?
