About Rev. Michael Brown

RBrownRev. Michael Brown has served as pastor of Christ United Reformed Church in San Diego, California since it began in 2003. He is a graduate of Westminster Seminary California, holding a Master of Divinity degree and an MA in Historical Theology. He has authored and contributed to five books, including Sacred Bond: Covenant Theology Explored(Reformed Fellowship, 2012) and Christ and the Condition: The Covenant Theology of Samuel Petto(RHB, 2012). He has also published numerous essays on historical theology in academic journals, as well as articles in popular magazines such as Modern Reformation, Banner of Truth, and Tabletalk. Mike is a native Southern Californian.

He did not grow up Reformed, but in the Calvary Chapel movement. He became interested in Reformed theology through the writings of Martyn Lloyd-Jones, J. Gresham Machen, and The White Horse Inn radio program. He has a passion to preach the gospel, teach theology, and help God’s people grow in their faith.

Mike and his wife Janie and their four children live in San Diego, California with their beloved pitbull, Maximus.
